Prudent gossipy butterflies…

To apply mehndi on hands,

To polish your nails,

To check your singing ability,

To chattering with buddies

You’ll find all in one at e-8 in BBA department of Jinnah University for women.

Let’s fly gossipy butterflies to common room, opened newly for them (actually, it was a seminar room but after our VC changed, no one’s attention diverted towards this, then it became a common room- brief history).

 Hold on…!!! What is this???

“Common room only for BBA girls”, written on the white board of common room. Oh…

Don’t worry. If it is written then what, we can’t sit there, who said this? We are the butterflies and don’t need any restrictions. Many girls of different departments have been roaming there all the time and removed the words where it was mentioned that “it is only for BBA dept”

Nevertheless, girls are pleased to have this common room.

“It is very nice to be here because it is very airy room, lots of fans here. I feel relax here,” said Sara Mustafa, student of BBA 3-year. Before Sara completed her words, her friend Tooba Naseer added her views in it, “although the idea of having a common room is very appreciative but it needs bit maintenance, it’s very messy. There should be dustbins.”

Yes. It is very airy when I went there I feel relax too… as Saman Siddiqui said, “good for a little break but its more ‘common’ than It should be.”

Hmmm, true. I was amazed to see the girls who were sleeping there, without any hesitation. A group of girls were playing Antakshri with full volume. Mehndi, nail polishing, the whole beauty parlor you can see over there, seems like a Meena Bazaar.

Well, it is a common room and the greater thing is that it is common room for girls. So, we can expect it. I enjoyed a lot there. I applied Mehndi on my hands free of cost. Isn’t it amazing in today’s world???

After there, I headed towards staff room to ask the teachers what they feel to have a common room for girls. They are quite happy and shared their views.

“Good for BBA dept as we already have shortage of room so, students have a space to sit in a room rather than in the corridor,” Ms Adia, lecturer of BBA dept.

That’s great…!!!

God, please have mercy on mass-communicators so that they can bring out their hidden talents... :D :P
