Pakies vs Indies...

“Pakistan will play a World Cup semi final in India on March 30, after they beat West Indies in Dhaka”

After hearing this thrilling headlines, 30 March became the most awaited day for the people of Sub Continent. The craze was in the air, people were excited but nervous too. It was more of a war then a cricket match. Fans all around the world were scrambling for tickets and the employees were thinking of excuses to make at work to watch the match. Excitement and pressure were hand in hand. Expectation became high as Pakistan showed impressive performance in

the tournament. Six waiting days seemed to be a decade. People were confident as their were many predictions indicating Pakistan, A Winner. Whether it was on office, classroom or home, the only topic left to discuss was Pak-India Semi final. Prayers were held in Mosques and streets were packed up with projector screens. The thrill made it more pressurized for the cricket players as well. People of age groups were ready for the day and were supporting their team.
We also organized an event in our department for the buck up and show support towards the team by wearing green dupattas, having Pakistan flag painted on faces, and praying together for there victory. Half day off announced by the government made faces happier and relaxed.

Although Pakistan did not win the match but the time for togetherness of all Pakies left a mark on everyone memories that it was the best example of unity.
